Gameplay cookies
The multiplayer Parafraze.gg game does not require cookies. The Daily Game uses a necessary guest cookie to save your progress and first-attempt scores on this browser for up to 366 days. The Daily identity also connects visits and play/share events to first-party audience measurements; campaign labels come from UTM link parameters. This cookie is unavailable to browser scripts and is sent only over HTTPS. Parafraze.gg does not use advertising cookies or third-party analytics cookies.
Local storage
Parafraze.gg uses local storage, which is browser storage rather than a cookie, to remember your room rejoining credentials, sound setting, whether your mini-board is collapsed, your text size, and your Daily sound and caption preferences.
Optional account cookie
Signing in with Discord creates a secure, strictly necessary account cookie. It keeps you signed in for up to 30 days, is unavailable to browser scripts, is sent only over HTTPS, and is not used for advertising or tracking. Temporary cookies also protect the Discord and Patreon connection process and expire after approximately 10 minutes.
Strictly necessary access
A secure, strictly necessary sign-in cookie may be used for restricted operator services. It is limited to the relevant path, is not available to browser scripts, uses SameSite=Strict, and expires after 12 hours.
Contact form protection
The contact form uses Google reCAPTCHA to reduce spam. reCAPTCHA may set or read cookies and process related device and usage information under Google’s Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
Your controls
You can clear Parafraze.gg’s cookies and local storage through your browser’s site-data settings. Removing the account cookie signs you out; removing local storage clears saved room rejoining information and preferences. Removing the Daily cookie disconnects this browser from its saved Daily attempts. A new guest cookie is needed to play Daily again; multiplayer gameplay remains available.
